New LED Garden Lights Offer Beauty and Safety

Using LED lighting for your landscaping and in your garden area is a great way to interpret the beauty of the outdoors without a nice sunshiny day. There are many benefits to using LED lighting as opposed to compact fluorescents and incandescent bulbs. More rugged and damage-resistant to other forms of lighting, they are also available as waterproof outdoor fixtures.

As technology grows with the different conceptual uses of LED, we are finding that we have a new method of having better and safer light for less money than ever anticipated. The Grameen Surya Biji Foundation (GSBF), a Bombay-based nongovernmental organization that looks for ways to help the poor of rural India, has proved this. By replacing kerosene lamps with solar-powered LED lamps, inside and out, the need for kerosene is eliminated and they have much needed light at very little cost.

One of the newest developed types of lighting for gardens and outdoor pleasure, are waterproof solar LED paver lights. There are two to four LED lights held within each square or rectangular base and the lifespan is about 35,000 hours. Together with the sun, these bright colorful pavers light up a path for a nice evening stroll or to bring out the color in your surrounding plants. Available colors are white, halogen white, red, green and blue.

LED floodlights and spotlights are also an economical way to show off those plants and items that you love because they provide better light in a single direction than incandescent or fluorescent bulbs. Fashionable and modern designs are turning up everywhere, especially cities where parks and public places need dependable and bright light. Because LED lighting is resistant to ultraviolet radiation, static, high temperatures and damage, it is a perfect fit to use around people and the harsh elements of the outdoors.

The light that shines from LED lighting is clear and white, unlike the yellowish glow offered by fluorescents and incandescent bulbs, makes everything within its glow seem more fresh and distinct. The downside to using LED garden lights is that the cost is still relatively high but you can gain your money back by the amount of money that you save on the long life and the decreasing electric bill. As technology continues to improve and manufacturers begin the competition, the LED is on its way to being a very inexpensive and better alternative to artificial lighting, as we know it today.

Go online and discover all the new options in providing LED garden lighting today with either a sprinkling on bushes, a direct spotlight for individual scenes, or pole lights that add security to your area. Don't forget to check out how solar power is teaming up with LED to add even better and less expensive options to your outdoor designs.
